On September 10, 2026, the 2026 Vietnam–Korea International Literature Exchange Festival (2026 한국·베트남 국제문학제) — a Korean Literature Festival for students majoring in Korean Language in Vietnam — was successfully held at Hall A, University of Foreign Language Studies – The University of Danang.

The event was jointly organized by the Ickchon Gildongmu Cultural Foundation and the University of Foreign Language Studies – The University of Danang, with sponsorship from the Literature Translation Institute of Korea.

The program attracted a large number of students from universities offering Korean language programs in Central Vietnam, including the University of Foreign Languages – Hue University, the University of Foreign Language Studies – The University of Danang, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology – The University of Danang, Dong A University, and Duy Tan University.

A highlight of the event was the participation of renowned Korean writers and poets, including writer Chae Heeyoon, writer Bu Heeryung, writer Kim Seoryung, poet Song Kyeongdong, poet Lee Sulya, poet Lee Soyoun, and poet Choi Jiin. The program created a vibrant and enriching space for cultural exchange and academic engagement among students.

In particular, in the Korean Literary Translation category, students from the Korean Language Faculty, Duy Tan University, achieved outstanding results, receiving the following prestigious awards:

• Second Prize: Student Trần Thị Tuyết Nhi – Award of KRW 150,000.

• Third Prize: Student Ngô Trúc Quỳnh – Award of KRW 50,000.

These achievements are not only a source of pride for the students themselves but also demonstrate the quality of education, professional competence, and ability of Korean Language Faculty students to effectively comprehend and translate Korean literary works.
